"Feodor Ushakov", Russian Genuine Wooden Collectible Santa, s156, 19"H. Unique

An intricately carved Russian Santa from solid linden displaying craftsmanship at its finest. In the front, Santa's snow-silver, red, blue and gold coat and majestic white fur hat are exquisitely detailed on an intricately dark and light red, white and gold with blue dust of leaves and wintry flowers. The colors of the coat change whimsically when you turn the Santa around. A striking sight meets your eyes - pastel red and cherry and silver and white colors interweave in a complicated and rich pattern. His face is chiseled to perfection, radiating kindness and good will. Santa is carrying a huge -14" tall Christmas tree decorated with Christmas ornaments all around. The tree is not attached but carved out of the same linden wood log as Santa!
Signed by the renowned artist, Natalia Rasskazova, this piece is unique in its imposing stature, the complexity and balance of the work, and the fine hand carving.
Unique.
The full size: 19"H x 10"W x 11"D. With Christmas tree - 14"D.
Solid linden wood. Before starting the work The master carver kept the wooden log outside his house closer to six years to wind out moisture off the piece.
He is named after "Feordor Ushakov", admiral of the Russian Navy who successfully fought against Swedes in Baltic Sea and Turks in the Black Sea during the reign of Katherine the Great. He did not lose any sea battle, ever!
