This wooden Christmas ornament of Russian Private of Musketeer Regiment who took part in the Napoleonic War of 1812,  is crafted by hand - carved out of linden wood and painted with acrylic. Source: "Russian Army during the Napoleonic Wars 1800-1815". Military uniforms display the most elaborate pomp of the military dress at that time.
