This barrette is made out of paper mache, 1.5 x 4" and painted by hand in the village of Zhostovo, traditional place for the flowers painting. It also represents "Zhostovo" technique of painting flowers on the wood or metal surface. The style appeared in the late 18 century in the village of Zhostovo, suburbs of Moscow.
